The HL 75-K is an absolute dream! I don’t know how many of you out there care whether you have the finest, precision-made piece of equipment available or not – but the facts are:
1) If you have hedges, shrubs, or just miscellaneous ‘growies’ that need pruning, and sculpturing, this baby will cut your time in half – guaranteed!
2) The 90-degree feature is amazing! You can walk down a hedge from in front, cut a 24 in swath from top or bottom in a perfect straight line, then turn it upside down and cut the other 24 in swath perfectly in line again with little or no effort! No sighting down the hedgerow! The angle of cut is easily adjustable in 10-degree increments - making cutting the flat top of a hedge, whatever the height, easy as pie!
3) The wide-set throat of the teeth, the totally upside-down operation, the balance, ease of operation, and low maintenance make this tool an absolute winner with no competition.
I spray PAM (cooking spray) on the teeth before using and also on the gear housing. This prevents the ‘juices' of the cut material from sticking and building up. A scrub brush and a little paint thinner make this baby shine like new in seconds - indefinitely.
The power this baby has makes even the thickest plants and hedges a breeze. Chews right through them. I can’t recommend this machine enough – but just don’ t try to borrow mine.
