Because I don't want to risk giving anything away, I won't summarize the plot. I will tell you what I like about this book. Number 1, there's a sequal coming out. If you read this book, I am almost positive you will like it as much as I did, meaning that you will reserve a copy of the sequal at amazon and check the author's website periodically. If you don't like fantasy in general, I would still reccommend that you give this book a try. It is interesting, has mystery, is at times humorous, and has very realistic and developed characters. It is about an 18 yr old girl, Sabriel, as you have probably guessed. Her special inherited skill is that she can bring dead people back to life or, more frequently lay them to rest. The book is full of twists and turns and colorful imagery, as well as a talking and sometimes evil cat name mogget. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, in particular phillip pullman's trilogy, his dark materials (by the way, the amber spyglass turned out to be pretty good!).
