Pros: Quiet, easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee!
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: This is high end machine that has more bells and whistles than you really need, but nice to have them anyway!

| kushnir's Full Review: Saeco Incanto Sirius Espresso Machine |
This is not my first Saeco Espresso Machine. I started with the Vienna which is a basic no frills machine, which sounds like several of the reviewers needed to actually have instead of this one.
I will admit that this has more programmable features and functions than one requires, but if you are into coffee, you will appreciate all the programmable settings and functions.!
The unit is much more advanced than their workhorse the Vienna. It has a digital touch screen which is nice but possibly an overkill for someone who just wants a cup of coffee. It is programmable whether or not it cleans itself at turn on daily, thus saving water and saving having to dump the water waste (one of the complaints on a review).
You can also program to have it turn on beforehand so that by the time you are ready for a cup it is ready to brew and up to temperature.
One nice feature it has is the bean bypass.
Normally you will fill the hopper with fresh beans and each time you select a fresh cup, it first grinds the beans to the selected grind and then uses it for the process.
With the bean bypass, you select it, and use a scoop to place pre-ground coffee for the process.
This is especially great when someone wants decaf or a special "Holiday" blend.
This unit also features a extra large holding tank for fresh water. It will produce about 8 to 10 cups of coffee with one fill. This depends on how many days you use it, since it does use some water for it's daily cleaning (If selected).
The steam wand has an adjustment for large and small cups and makes an excellent froth on a cup for your cappuccino!
This unit is considerable quieter than the Vienna series and their non digital touch screen, entry level machine is called the "EASY". I have never had any problems which were not address immediately by the place where I purchased the machine, Sonomachef.com has been there for me any time I had any questions or needed service advise.
With todays internet shopping you have to be very careful where you purchase the machine, since most often the "low" price does not include any support, having to fight for help from the factory can lead to frustrating times.
I try and buy from people that are not the lowest in price just so I know that I can use that argument for a reason why they should provide superior customer support for my purchases.
Another function I failed to mention is that the water temperature is a programmable setting, unlike their other machines which are preset.
I love my Sirius and also own the "Easy" for my vacation home. I figured that the Sirius would be to much of a luxury to sit not being used most of the time. All in all this machine has worked flawlessly for me, however it is intimidating for a first time or non technical person because of the amount of programming choices it has. I know it was for me, at first even though I had owned one fo their other machines.
