| jlhin's Full Review: Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat |
My daughter is growing and learning every day. She learns new skills, and, is growing more and more independent. My husband and I began noticing that she was becoming quite irritable when placed in her high chair for meals. She would whine and point at us, and it wasn't long before we caught on. She felt she was too big for the high chair and wanted to sit in a chair like we did. Upon that realization, we began shopping for a booster seat. It didn't take us long to decide on the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat.
~*~Cost~*~
We purchased the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat for $14.99 at our local Wal-Mart. This product can be found at most discount stores and even stores like Toys 'R Us, varying in price.
~*~3 Levels For My Growing Girl!~*~
The first thing that appealed to me about the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat, was, the 3 levels! It's much safer than phone books or catalogs placed under my daughter's rear to get her to the right sitting position at the table. *LOL* The Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat has those 3 levels so that you can adjust the seat to fit in the bottom slot, middle slot or top slot. This not only lets the seat grow with your child, it's also wonderful for adjusting it to the different table tops you may come across.
The Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat is made of a durable, easy to clean plastic. The base and tray is white, while the seat itself is a royal blue. Each seat comes with two blue straps that are used to strap the seat to a chair, and a safety harness. The tray, base and seat are all dishwasher safe.
Assembly of the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat is very easy. The base, seat, tray and two blue straps come out of the box disassembled. To assemble them you simply thread the blue straps through the two slots on the back of the base. You slide the seat into one of the three slots, according to your child's height and the table height. We immediately moved Hailey's to the second slot, and she sits at the perfect height. The back of the seat is a little higher than some other booster seats I have seen, providing extra comfort and security.
The harness comes already threaded into the blue seat, you simply adjust it to fit your child. The tray is much like a regular high chair tray, you simply slide it into place. We don't use the tray, since Hailey prefers eating at the table like the adults do! The straps that secure the seat to the chair are easily adjusted to fit the width of any chair. Once adjusted, the strap clasps together by the white buckle. Once buckled, the straps keep the seat good and secure, preventing falls.
We often carry this seat with us to grandma's house. It is light weight and easy to carry. The size is compact, so it's easily stored when necessary. The back of the chair has an easy to grip handle to help with transportation. Since it's made of a durable plastic, it can withstand the moving and dropping it sometimes receives.
~*~Overall Opinion~*~
I would highly recommend the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat. It provides three levels so that it grows with your child, preventing you from having to purchase another one. It's dishwasher safe, durable and easy to assemble.
