When you are out looking for a good quality gate for three rambunctious toddlers and you see the brand name Safety 1st, you think "great, this gate is just what I need!!" Well, don't be deceived by a name and always do some research on a safety product for children before you buy.
My husband and I made the mistake of not checking out this gate before we bought it. We thought it was a good buy for its price. We got it home, put it up and quietly patted ourselves on the back for a job well done.
Fortunately our children are not so easily fooled and before long, we had a broken gate!! I was far from pleased that the gate was broken but what really ticked me off were the rubber feet that are supposed to protect the walls. They do a pretty poor job at that and they also split. Just the idea that these split rubber feet can so easily become a child's next taste test item wasn't appealing in the least. I don't think I have come across a more potential choking hazard before that was supposed to protect.
Overall, definitely a nightmarish product and a huge waste of time and money.
