Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Comfortable, light weight, easy to lace, good looking
Cons:Flex may be too soft for many riders.
The Bottom Line: Very comfortable boot that I recommend for lighter riders or freestylers.
I have owned these Salomon Brigade boots for a year and a half now and overall I am pleased with them. They were recommended to me by the guy at my local snowboard shop. Me told me they were a very popular model boot, are nice and light, and compatible with most bindings (including my Flows). I was also told that they were a relatively "soft" boot. Typically I like stiffer boots that break in nicely, but the fit was so good and comfy and the price was right so I was lured right in. Besides, I needed a pair of boots for freestyle which is hard to do in the stiffer boots.

Price is very cheap at $140 I was sold. No problems there.
One of the most comfortable boots I have put on my feet. Very important for keeping your energy level up while on the slopes. The "Autofit" liner is easy to lace up and hugs the foot with no pressure-points. The "Speed Powerlace" outer is easy and hassle-free. The EVA "Easy Sole" is grippy and doesn't track too much snow.
Salomon has an outstanding reputation in the snowboard boot market and I see why after riding in these Brigades. The boot provides a nice stable platform and the flex is nice but is soft. It does not offer any resistance on a toe side manuver, so riders who have weak ankles or heavier riders should look elsewhere. Good for freestyle or freestyle/freeride, but not for serious freeride or big-mountain.
The Brigades look awesome. The name is cool too :)
