Pros: Light and playful, a good all mountain expert ski
Cons: It's a bit nervous, especially on corrugated ice (but what isn't).

| RONinPC's Full Review: Salomon Crossmax 10 Pilot S914 |
It's been a while since I have written a review here on epinions... they have not really been keeping up listing the latest skis.
It was important that I write this one though, because it has to do with reviews I have written in the past. I have written about the Salomon X-Scream, and X-Scream Pilot, and I have not been kind.
The other day, I took out the Crossmax 10 Pilot, and was truly pleasantly surprised. It skied great. Gone was the teeter-totter feeling of the older pilot designs. the ski was light and playful, with the same nervous energy that Salomons are known for. While it is not the greatest ski I have ever been on, the Crossmax 10 Pilot is a fine effort on the part of Salomon. I'd ski a pair, and I'd enjoy 'em.
You will too.
For the record, I am 5'10, 200 lbs. I ski about 100 days a year, and am considered a "professional" skier (whatever that means to you).
