Pros: Large viewing size, beautiful graphics display, looks really cool, great for travel.
Cons: Prices are dropping quickly for lcd monitors, none really besides that.
The Bottom Line: LCD monitors are at rock bottom prices, if you're looking for a new monitor, I recommend this. The view is excellent, no flickering and sharp as it gets.

Recently I finally realized that with all the traveling I've been doing, I've probably spent upwards of $200 just in shipping costs for monitors, not to mention another $200 in replacing the monitor after I receive it broken in the mail. Normally to offset that cost I'd try and stick my computer in my suitcase (since well... who can live without their computer), but my bulky 15 inch CRT 30 lb. monitor just wouldn't fit for some odd, strange reason. So one day I was walking along in Best Buy and found this monitor for 550 plus a 50 dollar rebate, ok that's a little pricey, but with the 3 year warranty I finally convinced myself that I spent at least that much in all my problems with a cheap, bulky CRT monitor. So I went with it.
First let me say, the display on this monitor is awesome! It's definitely sharper than any of the other models I've seen in the stores, and without a doubt sharper than my old Sony 15 inch *normal* monitor. Not only that, but compared to a normal 17 inch monitor, with only 15 inches of LCD size it reaches exactly the same viewing size as the 17 inch CRT monitor, or at least appears too. Watching DVD's on it is a truly enjoyable experience, particularly with the lights out it almost feels like a theater (except about 60 plus feet of a viewing size). I brought this monitor with me for a LAN party in Arizona, and everyone in the room had to make a comment about it. One of my friends commented on how quickly the display popped up after turning it on, with a normal CRT monitor you have at least a 10 second delay, but with the LCD, particularly this one, it's as fast as turning on a light. Even my fiance's 17 inch version of this monitor turns on slower than mine does. I know that may not seem like a big thing, but it certainly was something to wow over. Even random carpet cleaners that I've had come into the apartment sit and stare at it for a least a couple minutes, asking me all sorts of questions about it. Maybe I just like the vicarious attention I get from my monitor, but I am really happy with this purchase, even 3 months later.
Another thing I like about this monitor is the ease of viewing. With most LCD monitors if you're not looking at it from just the right angle you can't see anything at all, well that's not the case with this monitor. From most any angle I can still see the picture perfectly, short of way off to the side is when it starts getting a little hazy, but maybe I need glasses. It also has a tiltable stand, which makes it pretty easy to customize to where you like to view it at. The menu buttons are another thing I really liked, from most monitors I had you couldn't really change how it looked, at least not without reading the manual first. I don't really like reading instruction manuals, but with this monitor all I had to do was plug it in, press a few buttons, and presto, I had the view that I liked.
Not only that, it barely takes up any space, now my cat has plenty of space to stand in front of the screen and block all possibility of me reading my e-mail until she gets dinner. It fits conveniently in my suitcase, and even the box it came in works as an excellent luggage carrier. It's even light enough for me to carry around without a problem. One other mute point, is how easy it is to clean. I don't really remember to clean off my display monitors, not even my tv, and the only dust this thing manages to get on it is random cat hairs. So now I don't have to clear out a little space to see through on my screen anymore. Yay!
Ok my only complaint is how fast the prices are dropping on LCD monitors, only a month later after buying the Samsung 570 tft I found it somewhere else for $100 cheaper, when only a month before I bought mine I was almost positive I couldn't have bought it for cheaper than $1000. It's not a gripe about this particular monitor, but it really is depressing to buy something and have such a huge price drop such a short time later. But they have to hit a bottom don't they? I'd say they won't get any cheaper than CRT monitors, so if you can get one for $300- $400 then go for it.
