Enjoyed surferdude7 review on the Samsung. I am enjoying the television especially with Time Warner cable's HDTV box.
However, I note in the specs that the HDTV input has 480i and 480p capability -- BUT -- the DVD input is only listed as 480i. Not sure if that means that a progressive scan DVD player will make any difference in picture quality on this unit when connected throught the component video inputs.

Hey there Ron I'm back. Very informative, detailed review. You didn't pay $1,250.00 for that TV did you or did you just get the specs somewhere? I won't be able to afford a Widescreen TV myself probably for 5 years or longer and I sure hope it's bigger than 17" or is it really 21 1/8th" I'm very confused about that one little point? BTW I'm finally back after a 20 month absence. I'm going to read, read, read for a few days or weeks before I start writing again. I got my very first DVD Player ever for Christmas and have watched 3 DVD Movies so far (old and new). Don't know if I want go back to my music reviews, New Movie Release reviews or try something new and do some on DVD Movies and their awesome extras yet?
