Pros: sleek design, beautiful display, loud volume, good web browser, and good call quality.
Cons:Slow start up time, terrible GPS functionality, and could use some more software updates.
The Bottom Line: If you want a cheap, yet high end android phone, buy it.
I have had the Captivate for almost a year now, and overall it has been a very good phone. Although it may be outdated now, for anyone who wants a nice android phone, and doesn't have deep pockets, this is a great choice. Unlike other phones, this one has a lot of pre installed memory which is good for thos people who love apps, like me for example. It comes with a 16gb preinstalled memory card, and an external sd card can still added for additional memory. It also has a 5 megapixel camera, which despite not having flash, takes very good pics. However it does not come with the front facing camera, which may or may not be a dealbreaker for you. At the time of my upgrade this was easily the best android phone AT&T had to offer. The only things that keep this phone from being perfect is the lack of flash for the camera, bad GPS, and some outdated software. Overall all, it is a beautiful phone that works very well for calling, texting, and using the web. It is a good example of what an android superphone should be. Even with newer phones that have come out since its release, it still is a solid cell phone, that can stand its ground.
