Pros: MP3's (impress your mates with excellent sound quality), Organiser, Pretty to look at, lightweight.
Cons: Not enough MP3 space, Battery life too short, Samsungs other MP3phone, the Uproar is better.
The Bottom Line: If you want MP3 on your mobile in the UK, this is your only (reasonably priced) option until the Uproar arrives. If you don't, this phone is not for you.

| sdholderness's Full Review: Samsung SGH M100 Cell Phone |
Samsung's SGH M100 is a sleek, stylish and aesthetically pleasing mobile phone. It features 32mb onboard memory for data transfer via parallel port from a PC and has an onboard MP3 player, accessible via the provided headphones. It also features an organiser which can store memos and to-do items and an alarm that alerts you to these items as required. The 'aqua' coloured display is very clear and smart looking. This phone should not be confused with the samsung uproar which features 64 mb onboard memory, USB transfer, voice dialling and many other features. I have found this to be a very functional phone - it doesn't feature a lot of the latest 'phone' technology such as voice dialling and predictive texting, but the payoff is the excellent mp3 player. Sound quality via the high quality headphones provided is excellent - It has always provoked a look of surprise from people that I have demonstrated it to. Also, Samsung provide an adaptor enabling you to connect out to other headphones, speakers and devices. I have run the player through my HiFi headphones and it is as good as my CD Player. You will be satisfied if not surprised by the sound quality. What lets the mp3 player down is the 32mb memory. It's not enough. That will allow you to typically store about 8 tracks, which is not enough for a full album. I would say that the Uproar's 64mb is more realistic. But then again my last phone didn't play MP3 at all so I'm not complaining too loudly. Transferring MP3's to the phone via the provided software is quick and easy. The Uproar is quicker with USB transfer but this really isn't an issue, as the parallel is quick enough. The real downfall of this phone is battery life. It has between 60-70 hours standby time typically, and I have found that with normal use, I get about a day and half between charges. The uproar features better battery life. (140 hours advertised). Don't buy this phone for the games, with th exception of Snake, they suck. There is also Easy GSM software which allows you to edit your phonebook and organiser on your PC. You'll need infra red capability on your PC for this, which I haven't got so can't comment. This software also features a ringtone composer which I've played with and found a bit fiddly - it features sheet music style input, I think you actually have to be a composer to use it! All in all, I have enjoyed this phone. I have to admit to buying it for the MP3's, which I use a lot - I wasn't too bothered about high end phone features, and it's still a better phone than my last one. The Uproar didn't appear to have hit the UK market when I got my M100, but I don't think I'll be holding on to the M100 for too long when it does. But for now, it's my favourite toy!
