Pros: ultra smart design, the blue screen is unique, packed full of features.
Cons: Not many...perhaps battery life isn't so good, and could do with more games.
The Bottom Line: An exclusive phone, could soon be a collector's item if Nokia do not release it in the West. What better reason to own it?

| kwts's Full Review: Samsung SCH u620 Cell Phone |
To make things clear to those who are reading this, this is a opinion on the newly released Nokia 8250 and not the 8210 which has been around for a year or so.
I recently got this phone from a local shop which imported them from the far east. I brought it for around £200 offline. (This included trade in with my Samsung SGH-A100).
The first thing you notice about this phone is the blue screen. This is similar to the 8850 and the 8890 and like them is a very striking effect. In complete darkness, the blue screen and lit up key pad is very bright and clearly looks the business. Trust me, people will be very impressed by this. The key button layout is shaped like a 'x' and the black and grey colour scheme is attractive. Nokia has clearly thought a lot about the design and I believe it to be the most attractive out of all the Nokia range. The size is virtually identical to the 8210 and therefore like that it is small, slim, light (81g) and easy on the hands. The clarity is excellent.
Function wise it has the usual features. Voice dialing, vibration alert, T9 predictive text, the chat feature from 3310, picture messaging..the list goes on. The phone has an internal memory of 250 plus the whatever your sim card can hold (normally 99). The games are disappointing. It has the same games as the 8210 (i.e snake 1, memory and logic) and the only new game is opposite. Nokia should have included space invaders from 3310 but having said that, I think people who will buy this phone will buy it for looks alone, not the games. The phone has space for 5 new ringtones and a composer too. The phone has no WAP features but will support extra service features if your sim card is enabled to do so. This is similar to the 3210 'services' extra menu.
There are some negatives with this phone. The phone can only hold 10 messages which isn't too much these days say compared to the Nokia 6210. The message length is only 160 characters too not the 460 characters of the 3310. The battery life isn't too hot either. If you are a constant user then most likely you will need to charge your phone overnight every day to ensure it won't run out on you. However the main problem I have with the 8250 is the voice mail service. It could be down to my import model but everytime I received a voice mail, instead of the phone displaying 'new voice mail message' on the phone, I get sent a blank text. I then have to erase the text and then enter voice mail. This is very annoying and means that if you have a full inbox, you cannot receive the text. Though this means you will still get new voice mail messages, you will not know if you get them or not since there will be no space for the incoming blank text. Like I said, this could be down to the imported model as other people I know that have this phone, have this problem too. The problem is defintely not to do with the service provider but with the phone itself. Make sure you check before you buy as some people I know took their phone back as it is quite a annoying problem.
I would recommend this phone to anyone, it is a exclusive as Nokia are unsure if they are to release this in the West. I am the only person in my whole year (200+ students) at uni to have this phone. It is so eye catching and unique that everybody will want to have it. This reason alone was enough to make me buy it. However the voice mail is definetly annoying, if you can live with it, then chances are, you will get this phone regardless. However note that this phone is pretty much identical to the 8210. Chances are if you have the 8210, you could be disappointed with the lack of additonal features of the 8250. If you do not want to spend that much money on what is basically a 8210 in a better attractive case, you can always buy 8250 lookalike covers for the 8210 and there are places where you can get the bulb changed for the 8210 to show a blue screen instead of green. Note this will probably invalidate your warrantly.
