After just over a year (out of warranty, of course) the "DEW" indicator flashes constantly, preventing the camera from playing or recording. Guess I should have shopped around a little more. I recently contacted Samsung to see if they will do anything about it, but no response yet. If I have to guess, I'll proably be in the market for a new camera very soon (probably digital Sony this time). Is this why they try to sell you the overpriced extended warranties at ABC warehouse??? Maybe I'll get to catch the first steps of our next baby with the new camcorder, I missed my daughter's with this one.
UPDATE: Samsung told me I was out of luck. (they gave the the 800 service number, thanks for all their help.) I got an estimate from one of the on-line repair places of $125.
Looks like a have a new door-stop.
