Will it work on a regular TV ? (Reply to this comment)
by obrienaj
I wonder if this tuner will work on a regular non-digital TV? I was thinking about getting it just to see what DTV stations I can get in my area, I would add an HDTV capable TV later.

HDTV Samsung SIR-T151 (Reply to this comment)
by jerjensen
The reciever works great here in Dallas. Lots of stations and several stations within the the same channel designation so that ups the selection potential. Also, I use the standard TV roof mount antenna and that does just great for reception. The one thing to do is read the manual on first getting started. Let the machine autoscan, especially in big metro areas, to get all the HD stations auto logged onto the system. It may take a few minutes. Otherwise you may be frustrated trying to find channels by surfing alone.

This unit produces the nicest pictures I have ever seen! Beats cable hands-down! One thing to keep in mind is that ALL stations that come on the air in digital format won't be HD quality. Out of the five stations I get in digital format, only -ONE- is HD quality. The rest of them are SD (standard definition, or 480i). Keep in mind, though, that the SD quality from this receiver is HEADS ABOVE cable -AND- DirecTV!!! Look at www.titantv.com to see what stations are available in your area. I am having to wait on FOX, but CBS, NBC, and ABC are all available (CBS is the only HD format station so far).
