The Bottom Line: I say don't buy this CDRW, since none of them I've used have worked properly.

I'm on my 2nd Samsung SW224, since the first one would never complete a cd burn successfully. Now, the replacement is doing the exact same thing.
It reports a hardware problem when completing a burn and writing the CD info that lets any cd-rom read the CD. The error damages the ISO-9660 track, and you cannot repair the damage. So you get a CD that will play only on CDRW's that use DirectCD.
Which is not what I paid for.
I contacted Samsung tech support, and after going through 5 or 6 levels of "Press the appropriate number on your keypad..." menus, I finally got to the tech support for their optical drives. Problem was that the girl who answered the phone couldn't help me, and said "a tech will call you back in a few minutes to help with your problem". (well then, why did you answer the tech phone if you're not a tech? sheesh) That was about 3 weeks ago... no phone call yet. Absolutely brilliant.
