Pleasant surprise

Pros: Exceptional clarity and sharp images at a great price

Cons: Case/shell starting to look dated

This unit sat side by side on the vendor's shelf with Viewsonic, Philips and LG monitors. One was the same price but the others were more expensive. Therefore I expected some loss of performance in the Samsung as a result of its low price- this was not the case. The Samsung had the sharpest images with great readability. The case was not as modern as some others nor is it a truly flat screen but it performs its main function-to display your PCs output- better than anything in its price range. In fact I would have to pay at least 50% more to get similar performance from a competitor.
