gardening_girl's Full Review: Samsung WF328AAW Front Load Washer
We bought the Silvercare (releases silver ions into the water to disinfect and deodorize) version of this washer and a matching dryer about two months ago, and have had nothing but problems. The first washer was replaced because it shook like mad on the spin cycle (so much for Vibration Reduction Technology). The next one we got seemed ok - for about a week. It shakes also, though not as bad as the first one. By the way, these were professionally installed, and leveled, on a concrete floor. Our most pressing problem is that either the washer or the dryer (or both) are chewing up our towels! With each load I find more pulls that have to be cut. We're not talking a few loose strings, but inches of pulled loops! I have to keep a pair of scissors nearby for each load. At this rate, our towels will likely need to be replaced in a few months. Not only that, but some laundry was ruined the one and only time we used the "prewash" detergent dispenser. Not sure what happened, but perhaps no water mixed in with it(?), because it left big blue detergent stains on our clothes. Yes, we used the "prewash" feature. Don't even bother with Samsung customer service - it's a joke. Even the store we bought them from can't get Samsung to cooperate. Save yourself the trouble and buy another brand.
Note: The bottom drawer shown in the picture does not come with the washer. It is an additional $200 for this accessory. We did buy it, but just to raise the washer, and have not used it for storage.
