Pros: Very clean clothes.  Lots of useful cycles to chose from.  Quiet.

Cons: Long cycles (but the clothes are really clean!).

The Bottom Line: Well built dependable product that does it's job exceptionally well.

My dependable fifteen year old Maytag bit the dust so I had to make a decision.  I knew a lot of people were buying front loaders, but I wasn't sure about buying a front loader verses the top loader.  After reading different reviews I decided I'd try the front loader.  I'm glad I did.  It cleans so much better than the top loader ever did!  I'm a nurse and I like things really clean.  I've had my Samsung for over a year and I am well pleased.  Our clothes are exceptionally clean, and it uses very little detergent and water.  I'm not quite sure how it cleans so well, but it does a great job. It's true that when you first use the machine your perplexed as to how it can clean so well with so little water. Then there's the spin cycle, it's something to behold; the clothes come out barely damp. My drying time has been cut in half.  I still have the now 16 plus year old Maytag dryer,  because it continues to do it's job.  I probably won't get a matching Samsung dryer because of the cost.  Dryers arn't that complicated and I don't think you need to spend $900.00 on a dryer.  Back to the washer.  It's also very quiet.  We had Lowes install  so I know it was installed correctly and  we've had no problems with vibration.  It holds very large loads and still seems to clean well.  The largest item I washed was a Queen size comforter which it handled nicely.  Best washer I've ever owned.  I'd never owned a Samsung product so I was hesitant about spending that much money on an unknown (unknown to me) but I'm pleased with the quality.  Absolutely no problems.  I liked it so well I decided to buy the Samsung stove!  I may try the fridge next.  But back to the washer...if you're hesitating about the brand, or the cost, I'm pretty frugal and I have no regrets about this purchase.  Now if the machine starts giving me problems I'll have more to add to this story.
