You make a good point. I should have pointed out that it wasn't helpful for my purposes, since I won't be using it for that. Ugh, more editing. Thanks, as always.

Also, I just wanted to point out that the U3 software isn't there just to "dumb down" the use of the drive. It also allows you to install and run program right from the flash drive so you can carry your programs with you and not just your documents and files.
For example:
You can carry your MP3 player program along with your MP3's so if you are using a PC that doesn't have an MP3 player (or one that you like) you can use your own.
You can install and carry OpenOffice.org (it's like MS Office but free) and be able to work with your word documents right from the flash drive even if the PC you are using doesn't have Word.
You can even install and run aVast! antivirus from the drive, which can also detect and remove viruses from the host PC.
Sorry for the long comment, but I wanted to point out that the U3 software is a little more than you give it credit for. It doesn't work with Mac OS or Linux but with Windows XP and Vista it works pretty well.

Sorry about that! I had read it and assumed it was correct since I hadn't tried it first hand. Will correct.

You wrote: "...this flash drive does not mix with Windows Vista."
I haven't had any problems with the drive working with Vista. The U3 software works fine and the drive is made to be compatible with ReadyBoost, which is only available in Vista and so far it has worked fine for me as well.
