xmodsguy's Full Review: SanDisk Cruzer® Micro (2 GB) USB 2.0 Flash Dr...
This 2GB Cruzer Micro Flash Drive is a great little flash drive. I got one for this past Christmas, and I love it.
The flash drive is pretty fast for transferring files. It's a little slow compared to the Cruzer Titanium and other flash drives optimized for speed, but I am completely satisfied with it.
Another nice features about all of the Cruzer flash drives is the sliding USB plug. When not in use, you just slide the end in and it is protected so it doesn't get damaged. This also makes the flash drive quite small and portable. It fits very nicely on my key ring, whereas a lot of other flash drives are large and bulky.
The U3 feature of the flash drive is pretty cool too. Some people get annoyed with it. And honestly, I don't use it anymore. I use something else. But it is still a great idea. It just didn't quite do what I wanted, and there wasn't enough software for it to satisfy me. There are a variety of U3 programs you can download (many for free, some free trials versions, and some you have to pay for) that will run on the flash drive. They are all in a special U3 format, so you can only use programs made to work on a U3 drive. They include games, password managers, office document editors, personalized browsers, etc. I have had only one or two problems with installing/uninstalling programs onto this flash drive, but the errors seemed to be caused by faulty applications, not the flash drive.
A nice U3 feature is the ability to protect the whole drive with a password. The data drive doesn't even work until the password is entered correctly, so you know your data is safe.
