I have two of these devices. One for myself and one for my son. They have worked great for two years now. I added 8Gb to each with no issue. The menus are clean and easy to navigate and the music sounds great.

I don't use the included ear pieces but the sound is great on my Sennheiser headphones. The display is bright (adjustable) but you should get a protector as it can be scratched easily.

I have had no battery issues in two years. The player will last quite a while on a full charge as well. The cable is non standard to the player but plugs into a normal USB so you can get a car charger, etc. if you want.

The radio feature is nice but with no antenna to speak of reception can vary greatly. I have not tried the slot radio feature or the ebook or recording functions. I just added a bunch of music and leave on shuffle. I also don't use the video features. I just can't see watching anything on a 2" screen very often.

For my needs this player is great. It is fairly priced and there are great deals on refurbs as well. I didn't want to pay the Apple premium for a simple music player, and I didn't.

If this player was lost or stolen I would definately get another as it fills my needs for a good price.
