hwy101's Full Review: SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player
See Pros & 'Mostly' Cons (I wrote this back wards)-(then when I went to Save Review -CONS was too long -should have left ALL the negatives here)
Not much Software comes with the Unit - I found the Documentation very Lacking (many explanations lacking or explained Poorly - NO 'How-to' at all... Many abbreviations are NOT explained at ALL -so, there are still many things that I do NOT know What they are OR How-they Work.
Unit can only Charge via the USB port, unless you BUY and additional Unit - AND, like, Other Parts of Connecting and working with, I found it HARD to get the Unit to Charge -just took 3 times to get it to Start Charging, or 'How-to' is ONE of the Things NOT explained or 'Why' so difficult... Diagram, says there is a replacable, re-chargable Battery; but, I've not be able to get the back OFF to see... (trying not to 'Break' anything; BUT, battery cover removal should NOT be so difficult)
Also, NO DELETE - you have to do EVERYTHING in relation to the Songs and their manipulation via the Computer (can NOT believe NO DELETING of a Song in this day & age -Every Other Mp3 I've had could do this -sigh You can move a Song to a 'GoList' Wherever that is (Unit or MicroSD)...
So, again, Your Song Handling & Manipulation will depend on what OTHER Software you have to do this -this is incredible as Other Mp3s have give much Software to Highlight the Functions of Their Units -not to mention, make you Happy- But, NOT SanDisk
Noted that when accessing the unit via the supplied USB cable, for either the Player or the Micro-SD I got -and extra $40- that 'if' I closed and then wanted to come back and 'add' a song or take one off... the computer could NOT find... while I am sure most will blame MS-USB, I do not have this problem with computer recognizing any Other USB devices... just 'looks' like another CON to consider.
I am going to get myself iPod and give the Kids & Grand-Kids the same... just not Happy with SanDisk & the Lacks & the NON-Intuitive way of doing things (much still NOT understood about what is happening or How-to do)-sigh
