Pros: So colorful and flavorful, yet so light and refreshing. Hard to reconcile, but wonderful.
Cons: Was my favorite until I tried San Miguel Dark/Cerveza Negra
The Bottom Line: San Miguel Pale, and its even better cousin, Cerveza Negra, are the ultimate in complex, rich, colorful beers.

| darren1l's Full Review: San Miguel Pale Pilsen |
If you want a light, non-filling beer with the richness, flavor and complexity of a darker microbrew, this is it for you. It reminds me a bit of the top Mexican beers, such as Negro Modelo or Bohemia.
It's bolder cousin, Cerveza Negra, gets the award hands down as the best beer I've tried. And for a comparison, I've been all over Europe, the States and Asia. I love the microbrews from the Northern Cali and the Pacific Northwest. Love Anchor Steam, Sierra Nevada, Red Hook, Red Nectar, etc. Went to Germany, Belgium, the U.K. and loved Stella, Flowers, all the Hofbrau Haus brews, etc. Love the Mexican beers down in Cabo, including Tecate, Pacific, and of course, Negro Modelo.
San Miguel Pale Pilsen is right up there with the best of the lighter lagers, and San Miguel Dark/Cerveza Negra, is the best of the best.
