I bought this Sandisk Cruzer 8GB flash drive primarily to have a password protected drive. It comes with U3 software which is very easy to set up and set a password. I use this at work, on various computers on which I do NOT have administrator privileges. This was a concern, but not anymore. Once you have the drive set up on your home computer, when you plug it into any other computer, it is recognized as two separate drives and then asks for your password. Once the password is entered, your drive is available. Then when you eject the flash drive, there is nothing left behind on that particular computer, as far as software goes.

My only negative is that the drive doesn't lock open when its extended. I like the fact that there isn't a cap to lose either.
