Pros:Rugged looking construction-type design in yellow color with black trim.
Cons:Poor mono speaker sound! Difficult to tune in stations with rotary tuning dial.
I bought this radio from J&R for my garage and very unsatisfied and unhappy with it and returned it a week later. The radio has a great-looking and rugged design in yellow construction-like color with black-color trim. But, that's where the compliments end. The single, mono-speaker sound is only mediocre. Also, the rotary radio station dial was difficult to tune in some radio stations. The unit is pretty heavy and bulky, but when you blast up the volume it sounds terrible - though low-volume listening is fine. But, then who wants to listen to low volume with such a big, outdoor-type radio? I would not recommend the Sangean radio because there are better choices on the market (see next sentence). After returning the Sangean radio, I bought a Bosch-brand "construction" type radio (blue-color with silver trim) which has digital radio tuning, a CD player, and stereo speakers and I am very happy with the Bosch radio.
