I think that this would be my new favorite toy as well. I have never even heard of a quesadilla maker and I have attempted them myself with not a lot of success. I am going to put this on my wish for this Christmas or bday.

I HAVE to have one of these LOL. One of my families favorite meals is Quesadillas! I think I'm going to email your review to my hubby as a hint LOL. BTW, I have an amazing recipe if you want it...just email me. chris-ceb@msn.com

Great review, answered all my questions.

Loved your enthusiasm as much as I love Mexican food--and that's a lot! You've tempted me to go out and buy one, since I am always looking for excuses to cook Mexican food.

Yummmmmmm!

We used to have... (Reply to this comment)

...a device my family called "Toast-tites" which sounds similar - only much smaller - for that we took bread, buttered the outside (untoasted), put whatever we wanted inside, and clamped it shut (it was two concave pieces made of steel or cast iron just smaller than a slice of bread). Then set it on the stove or over a fire and voila!

Even I could use it, and I've burned cold cereal. If this thing is as easy to use as those were, I've got to have one. I loved those and I love Quesadillas. I will have to go see if I can find one of these...and you might check out the antique stores for the old fashioned sandwich kind. :)

after several tries, finally found a way to make quesadillas without a quesadilla maker. We tried describing how to do it to my mom but she's never been able to do it so we got her one of these for Christmas and she and my sister love it!

As always, great review!!

Nice review - and it made me hungry thinking about quesadillas.

By the way, I think I might be the world's worst cook. Maybe we can have a competition sometime!
