The thing that caught my eye with this phone was the size and the listed features offered. Prior, to purchasing this phone, I had been searching for a cellular that would be able to help me to connect to the internet while on my laptop. Finally, the e-industry has created such an item. No longer do I have to search for a land line phone, but with this very small and portable wonder, I can connect it to my laptop thru a data kit that allows me to have access to the internet. The data kit was only an extra $99.00 and the service is $9.99 for 50 minutes of airtime per month.
This phone also has a modem inside of it for those who do not travel with a laptop, which just helped me to make this purchase. It has everything you need in a cellular and more. Some examples of the wonder features are:
1) a calculator
2) a game called crab catch
3) 10+ ring styles, plus the ability to put the phone on vibrate
4) internet ready (of course, which I love-my favorite)
5) indigo blue back lighting is a nice touch
Now the bad: I found that every so often there is an echo when placing a call, that both you and the other person hears.
PCS serve seems to drop calls much more often than the grandfather(Ma Bell Atlantic Mobile service) Also, I was a little leary about purchasing a sanyo cellular phone because that was not a cell phone manufacturer that I was aware of. I wondered if they had a clue about cellular phones, but I took a chance and I am very, very happy that I did. I have not been sorry yet and it doesn't look like I will. Great, great phone...
