Sardi's is trading on it's famous name and past glories. We arrived at 8PM, the room was deserted and we still had the worst service we have ever had in New York . When the food arrived, after 45 minutes and complaints to the staff, our order was not correct, the food was bland and served cold. The staff tried to make amends and offered deserts and coffee on the house. Interestingly, a baked Alaska was brought immediately to our table. I guess some others had ordered it and walked out after a long wait, thus it was given to us. Nothing could make up for the horrible service, and we decided that we had "done" Sardi's, never to return.
