Pros: was once a very fashionable place to dine

Poor Sardi's. Poor, poor Sardi's. Hey, remember when people used to actually COME here? It used to be the biggest, brightest of them all. It was THE place to see and be seen way back when.

Now it's a tourist trap. Hey, just like everything ELSE in midtown!

Not that the food isn't edible. It's good, though certainly NOT the best. Little pricey, though not as pricey as some of the rest. But I can't understand why one would go here when there are SO many other fine restaurants in New York City. (btw, my mother, who was with me when I last dined here, got food poisoning from her pasta with shrimp meal. However, they DID mail us a certificate for a free dinner).

The service was prompt, nothing fabulous. Kind of made you feel insignifigant.

The best tasting food on 44th Street is John's Pizzeria. Definately!
