My youngest daughter, Skylar hates taking a bath. I can not get her to sit down in the water without screaming. I've tried everything to calm her down, letting her pour water on her own hair, washing her own body, and an assortment of other bath toys. I've found one of her favorite bath toys is the Sassy Musical Bobbing Sprites.
I bought the Sassy Musical Bobbing Sprites at Target for $6.00. I've also seen them at Wal-mart and Meijer's. I love the Sassy line of toys. Skylar and Jordan have many other toys made by Sassy
The Sassy Musical Bobbing Sprites come with a trio of musical fish. Each fish makes a different sound..a squeak, a maraca and a wooden block sound--letting your child test out their musical skills in the bathtub. When placed in the water, the Musical Bobbing Sprites do as the name says, bob around in the water. When moved, they make music.
All the Musical Sprites are made of a hard, durable plastic and the cord is make of cloth and is securely attached to the fish and suction cup. The suction cup attaches to the bottom or side of the tub with no problem. I did have problems with it sticking at my other apartment cause of the tub, it did stick to the walls with no problem.
The larger of the Musical Sprites is bright purple, with yellow squiggly marks on his face, a bright red smile and yellow dimples. On the top and sides of the face are bright protuding orange fins. When you squeeze the fins, you hear a faint squeaking sound. His face is about 2" to 2 1/2" in diameter and attached to a colorful cord that is about 4 1/2" long, with a bright yellow suction cup on the bottom.
One of the smaller Musical Sprites is bright yellow, with orange polka dots on his face and a red smile and purple dimples. On the top of his head are protuding blue fins. When you move him around he makes a wooden block sound. His face is about 1 1/2 " in diameter and attached to a colorful cord and a bright neon green suction cup.
The other Musical Sprite is neon green, with orange polka dots, a red smile and purple dimples. On the top are protuding yellow fins. The neon fish makes a maraca sound when played with. His face is about 1 1/2 " in diameter and attached to a brightly colored cord and purple suction cup.
Skylar's thoughts
Skylar plays with the Musical Bobbing Sprites more then she plays with any of her other bath toys. I originally bought these when she was about a year old, she is now 3. A few years ago she wasn't to interested in the Musical Bobbers, she would smack at them a few times and stare at them bobbing around the tub and listen to the noises they made when she hit them. Now that Skylar is older, she is more interested in playing with them. She slides them around the tub, slides her hand across all of them and laughs when they play music.
Jordan's thoughts
Jordan is now 7, when I first bought the Musical Bobbing Sprites she was 5. When Jordan was in the tub with her little sister, she would show Skylar how they worked and would play with them to. When Skylar wasn't in the tub, she didn't care for them.
Mom's thoughts
I like the Sassy Musical Bobbing Sprites. It has helped bath time with Skylar greatly. There are still times when she still cries when she is in the tub, but 75% of the time I can get her to sit down and play when I'm washing her, without all the crying and climbing out of the tub.
I recommend the Sassy Musical Bobbing Sprites to anyone who needs help in the bath time department. Even though the purple fish doesn't squeak anymore, the the other two fish still work. The suction cups still stick and the fish are still in good shape.
To wash the Musical Bobbing Sprites I use hot soapy water and let them air dry. When Skylar is done playing with them, I let them air dry in the tub and put them away.
