Nice Job, Again (Reply to this comment)
by crypticv24
Yet again, another nice review. It amazes me how much you actually write about one CD; I've tried to write detailed and usually come up with about half of what you get (I don't have the personal interjections, though). The only thing I disagree on is Ridiculous. Sorry, but I can't stand that song, and also, that beat at the end of Masterpiece Conspiracy is simply too cool to hit on...but that's my opinion.

Excellent way to break it down, once again. (Reply to this comment)

After reading your review of Tool-Lateralus, I stumbled on your take on Creed-Weathered (they happen to be one of my least favorite bands out there simply because all of their songs seem to get played to death). I decided to check tonight and see if you had written a review on P.O.D.-Satellite after buying it this afternoon. I'm a Christian that doesn't care for Christian Music, some would say it's a sin but oh well. As I said in my comment to your Lateralus review... I don't think that what you listen to reflects what you believe. As much as I don't like Christian Music P.O.D. is definitely the exception in my book. I was hooked on "Youth of the Nation" since the first time I heard back in January. It's not very often that a song pulls me in the way this one did. Not many songs emotionally attach themselves to me, but this one really did the trick. The other songs that have done this are:
Metallica-Orion (instrumental)
Metallica-To Live Is To Die (instrumental)
Lynyrd Skynyrd-Simple Man
Black Sabbath-Solitude
Megadeth-A Tout Le Monde
Ozzy Osbourne-See You On The Other Side
Live-Overcome
America-I Need You
and
P.O.D.-Youth Of The Nation
I have a bond with music that some people think is strange. Music is my life and it's the only thing that gives me comfort in any situation, (especially problems with women LOL). Anyway great review.

I always *know* I will be served an excellent epinion when visiting your reviews! Yes, it is true... I actually get excited to read your eps!
By the way.... my thoughts toward some bands have changed and I am going to be editing some of my early music reviews. Yikes, what a chore. *smile*

listening to a lot of christian metal and hard rock, and they all seem to get grating. In the early days it was the Ressurection Band and that was pretty much it, and then a lot of other bands joined the fray, there just wasn't a market...i think Jars and maybe even Kansas busted a bunch of boundaries down, made it interesting....
good job on this review, excellent

Not another one!
My son rambles on and on about POD. He loves them. I think I know where they have been almost every day for the last year or so.....
HAHHAHA
Nice to know that there is someone else out there that likes them like he does.
I have not developed a taste for their music yet, but maybe I will in the future, when I am not battling a wailing two year old and frustrations piling everywhere....
great review, as usual.
