I don't get there as much as I used to because I don't live in that area anymore. Most of the Mills malls are pretty much the same sprawling shopping centers. There was one in PA, close to where I lived also but it was a little smaller.

Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, CA--near where I went to high school. It was once billed as the world's largest mall/fashion center, but was soon overtaken by one in Texas ("naturally"). It is probably networked with other "Mills" Outlet Malls, such as Ontario Mills in Ontario, CA. We like to catch the deals there on the way to Vegas. However, the excellent, more upscale (and outdoors) Victoria Gardens is a brisk walk just north of there. The two definitely make for a "full shopping day!" Very comprehensive review!

I don't really mind the crowds all that much. We went once before Christmas and it was packed. And it wasn't too bad after Christmas this year...which really surprised me. But then again...we went during the day so everyone was probably back to work by then! ;-)

I live very close to Sawgrass, and its the last place that I want to be at Christmas time. Probably for all of the same reasons why you love it. Sawgrass Mills is the largest tourist attraction in S. Florida and only 2nd to all of the Disney attractions. I hate shopping, and the place gives me a headache, but we do go there for the Oasis restaurants - some great choices there!

Hi,
Unfortunately it was just before closing one night so I didn't get to shop in too many stores. But I did like what I saw. The place is sprawling. Hope to come back one day.

I saw somewhere that they were connected with other outlet malls. I was happy to see that they were connected with one in Pennsylvania...which is where I will be in 4-5 months time! :-)

That is what I say about all of the outlet stores. I don't mind paying regular prices, but why should I when I can get everything for cheaper at the outlet's! :-)

This sounds like MY kinda shopping! LOL I love Opry Mills and Concord Mills (been to both of those). Outlet malls are awesome anyway!
Great review... I'll keep this in mind next time we head to Florida :)

My in-laws live in Deerfield Beach and every year when we visit them one of the highlights is going to Sawgrass. If nothing else I love the Disney outlet - after going here I swear I will never pay theme-park prices again!

That sounds like a wonderful idea! I will most definitely contact you next time I visit my brother in Miami or my mom in Ft. Lauderdale. I actually live in the Orlando area and usually decide to visit my mother on the spur of the moment, but I'm sure we can work something out! :)
