e065702's Full Review: Sceptre X46BV-FullHD 46 in. TV
I purchased this about 6 months ago and am totally satisfied. The main reason being that I thoroughly researched the purchase so I knew ahead of time what trade-offs I was making. Unless you have money to burn, I would strongly recommend spending at least a month of weekends looking around on-line and in person to get a good idea of all the different strengths and weaknesses. If you are setting up a home-theater with the intent of recreating the movie going experience this is not the product for you. However if you are looking to upgrade significantly on the cheap, I would recommend this item. The HD channels are spectacular, as they would be on any HD capable t.v. The sound is good enough for me, but is at best so-so. I am sure I will upgrade to external speakers in the near future. The remote has to be pointed pretty straight on to the t.v. but it is not a big deal. I have compared the screen quality to the higher end big-screens and yes I can see the difference but I am not interested enough in my t.v. to pay any more than I did, around $850 delivered. If you really must have top line audio and video, seriously consider a different t.v. and paying another $200-$300.
