I have had African Violets in my house all my life. My mother loves them and always had several growing on the table under the dining room window when I was a kid. Today, I guess I've taken up where she left off because I find I also have several different African Violets in my living room and kitchen. They don't require a lot of attention but they do appreciate a little fertilizer once in a while. For their hunger, I use Schultz 8-14-9 Liquid African Violet Plant Food. They are very beautiful when they are in full bloom and Schultz makes them even bloom better.

Easy to Use
I have a couple of jugs full of water in the kitchen that I use for my house plants. It's best to let the water set for 24 hours before using because the chlorine dissipates and the water comes up to room temperature. This is best for the plants because water that is too cold or hot will shock the plant's roots.

Schultz 8-14-9 is simple to administer to your African Violets. Just put 7 drops into a quart of water and feed your your plant as normal. Put the water/fertilizer mixture into the drip pan or the pot holder. Try not to administer to the top of the soil. You want the fertilizer to get to all the roots for best feeding.

One nice thing about Schultz Liquid Plant Food is that they provide you with the dropper to measure out the correct amount for liquid plant food when you mix it with water.

Great Effects
I've been using Schultz for my African Violets for a number of years and since I've been using it the number of flowers on each plant has almost doubled. I also find when taking a leaf for propagation, that adding a couple of drops of Schultz Liquid Plant Food helps the roots start to form quickly.

I also have noticed that the plants have darker green leaves and they look healthier than before I applied a feeding. I use it every week and my plants are always healthy and happy.
