Pros: Balanced, quiet, simple operation and modest price makes this a great at home exercise bike.
Cons: This bike would have to be tested for steadiness for heavy weight users.
I bought this exercise bike locally at Play it Again for sale price of $450 plus tax and the store didn't charge for assembly or delivery. I had researched the reliability etc and this bike is the same as the 213 which was recommended by consumer report. It's more user friendly because of the 'walk through' design. I've had it for several weeks and it provides all that I expected though I was surprised at how quiet it is to run.
I'm in the 145 lb weight category and I'm not using it so much to lose weight, rather to just get exercise as much as possible. I've had orthoscopic surgery in both knees and find that I can't walk more than half a mile without feeling discomfort in or around the knee area. My intention is to strengthen the leg muscles as much as I can using the bike. In the $500. price category I would certainly recommend the Schwinn 230
