Pros: I like the style of the bicycle, and its beefy construction.
Cons: Concerns: Seat, plastic gear-guard
The Bottom Line: Don't know yet, but will update

| colo_jim's Full Review: Schwinn Sidewinder 2.6 FS 26-Inch Mens' All-Terrai... |
I currently reside in Longmont, CO, and work in Boulder, a 12 mile commute. I am definitely NOT looking for a 25 mile round trip bicycle, but one that I can commute to the RTD bus stop(s) near my home. I was in a Wal-Mart this evening, and saw what appeared to be a good buy on a decently manufactured bike, the Schwinn Sidewinder, retail: $149
After closely inspecting the bike, I noticed that it also carried the "Pacific" brand name, which I am very well acquainted with, as I owned a Pacific brand bike purchased in 1995, used a little in the first 5 of the 10 years that I owned it, and then used daily of the last 5 years that I owned it. (BTW: The Pacific I owned was still no nice that for a 10 year old bike, someone stole it).
I was impressed with the quality of the really important parts of the Sidewinder, and, upon reading reviews on this site, will more than likely purchase this bike to use for transportation, as well as getting my fat butt back in shape.
I will post more after the purchase, and after a few days riding....
