| pantazis5's Full Review: Hill's Science Diet Science Diet Jerky Plus Treats |
Two little pomeranians live with the pantazis5. There is Teddy, a black pom with an appetite that will not quit. He does anything for food. Then there is the red sable Annabelle, queen of the home. She keeps all of her loyal servants close by, including Teddy. These two little beasts have the entire family mesmerized by their whole beings. They give whole new meaning to the term "pampered pets."
Teddy and Annabelle have very sensitive stomachs. When Teddy eats something he should not he is usually more lazy than usual (which is pretty hard to notice if you do not know Teddy) and Annabelle's stomach will churn in such a way that the entire family and most likely our neighbors can hear it. Yet, she just lays around looking sad while the churning is happening.
We are very careful with the treats that they receive and the food that they eat. That does not keep us though from each year stuffing their stockings with treats they will love and enjoy! We always try to find something a little different than the usual fare. Just to make things more special for them. This year each of the stockings had Science Diet Jerky Plus.
We purchased this at a specialty pet store, where we get all of our dog food. This came in a little plastic resealable package. It cost 2.79 to purchase. In side it contains about 12 sticks of jerky. This particular kind has real cheese and vegetables. Each stick is about 6 inches by 1 inch and the actual size of the stick is on the package. I though this might be a good chewy type of item that the dogs could hold in their paws and chew for a while. However, my original impression of these was incorrect. These were quite soft, in fact I easily broke one in half and gave each dog half. Now Annabelle loves to steal what Teddy has, and she quickly gobbled hers right up and went looking for more. Teddy however wanted to savor his and he went and found a safe spot away from Annabelle to eat his in peace. This left Annabelle looking for more! I was surprised at this because usually my dogs do not eat something new quite so quickly. They usually take a lick and sometimes leave the new item laying around for a few minutes to check out what each other has. But not this time. These Jerky sticks were a hit with my dogs.
Neither one of my dogs had any ill effects from eating these treats. They loved them and wanted more. Annabelle's sensitive stomach was not effected.

Up until a few months ago no pet food with wheat flour could come into our home because of our beloved Arlie. Now that Arlie is not with us we have been attempting different food treats with our two poms. This Jerky Plus Treat is a hit in our house and I suspect we will purchase some again before next Christmas!
