Pros: Floats higher than some
Cons: Very hard line- when new or cold, reel memory creates coils
The Bottom Line: This is a good line that I like better the more I use it.

I bought the WF5F Ultra 3 for my trout rod based on its claims to be a higher floating line than others. And it is. In bright yellow, it's also very visible in poor light which is a plus. I'm not sure about how long this line will last, but after about 35 hard fishing days this summer it is still like new.
The Ultra is a good line that casts quite nicely. The major drawback is that the line is harder than some, and you really need to stretch it out before you start fishing in order to pull the reel memory out of it. The coils that result (and remain!) from this hard line being wound on a small trout reel inhibit good casting and when the coils are lying on the water I think they could scare fish.
So, as much as I hate to delay getting to the fish, I pull off about 40 or 50 feet of line, pass it through the door handle on the Jeep and give the line a steady pull for about 20 or 30 seconds before hitting the water. And this does the trick. Once this line is straight, it's terrific. But how can you get enthusiastic about an expensive top of the line product that you have to "fix" before you use it each time?
UPDATE: The Ultra3 line is showing much less "reel memory" now than when it was brand new. The other factor to consider is air temperature-- the reel memory problem is more pronounced in colder temperatures. I am liking this line much better than I did last year. And with proper care and cleaning, it is showing very good durability.
