Pros: The Full sized, collectible Scooby-Doo Bobblehead included.
Cons: Cheaply made; boring.
The Bottom Line: I am giving this 3 stars because of the collectible Bobblehead included. If I were rating it on quality alone, I would only give it 2.

| patch3boys's Full Review: Scooby Doo Bobblehead Game |
I will have to be honest and tell you that I originally only bought this game for the actual Scooby-Doo Bobblehead. I had to have it! It was just too darn cute to pass up! It being a board game was just an added bonus and one that I had hoped would end up being a lot of fun for my kids.
What makes this game different from any other board game?
Easy, it comes included with a full sized, collectible Scooby-Doo Bobblehead! We tend to be Scooby Doo freaks around here, so anything that we find that has to do with Scooby usually gets snatched up fairly quickly with us. My 7 year old and I have bonded over ol' Scooby. With his newly founded love for "The Scoob" and my never ending childhood obsession with this pup it has given us something special in common. We both love Scooby and both get equally excited when something new, Scooby related, comes out. Sometimes I have to remind myself who the child is when my son and I make a sprint from the Walmart doors to the Toy Section to see what is new for that week.
Along with the Bobblehead this game also comes included with the game board, menu and snack cards, character movers w/ stands, Mystery Machine tokens and a spinner.
Playing the Scooby-Doo Bobblehead Game is simple and easy to get the hang of. 3-4 people can play. Each player gets a menu card and through taking turns drawing "food" cards you try to get all the food cards that are on your menu. Once you get them all, you get to grab the Scooby Bobblehead. This gives you a spin. The number you get on your spin is the number of spaces you get to move your character (which will be either Fred, Shaggy, Thelma or Daphne). Once someone grabs the Bobblehead, it is a free for all for the rest of the players to quickly try to grab the little card board Mystery Machines. There are only two, so it is first come, first serve bases. The 2 that grab them, get to move 1 space, and the person who didn't get to it in time doesn't get to move at all. This basically is a start to finish path game. The first person to get to the Finish line wins.
Do you have to fake it or is it really fun?
This is one of those games that you play just for the kiddies. There really isn't much too it. I have found, even with my son, that after one game he is ready to move on to something else. It's just so boring that it is hard to keep your child's attention. The nice thing is that it tends to be a short game and not a long drawn out one. That benefits the parent and child alike.
The most fun that my kids get from this game is when they get to hold the Bobblehead Scooby. And just to be clear, the excitement doesn't come from the fact that they are holding it because they got a free spin or that they get to move a few extra spaces. It is more so because of the "Neener, Neener, Neener, I got it and you don't!" dance that they get to do to their brothers (who, by the way, are foaming at the mouth watching in envy because all they really want is to get their grubby little hands on the Bobblehead to try to break it! Well, they probably don't actually want to break it, but you know what I mean) when they finally get it. Like I said at the beginning, the Scooby Bobblehead is the best part of this game. So far I haven't let my boys play with it outside of the game because I didn't want it to get broke, so I think that is why they want it so badly. It is the whole "wanting what you can't have" thing that is eating them alive.
So, will it hold up to the test of time?
This has got to be one of the more cheaper board games that we own. We already have bent characters, crumpled cards and a ripped playing board. I know my boys are rough, but I think this is a bit ridiculous! It was made with cheap quality pieces and didn't stand a chance. Our game board is ripped 3/4 of way and once it rips totally apart I will probably toss it. To me, we just haven't enjoyed the game enough to really care about trying to save it.
Overall Recommendation- Is it worth getting?
If you are a Scooby Doo collector (like we are) you would probably want this game just for the adorable Bobblehead. It is a full sized Bobblehead and is a collector item. As far as buying this for the "fun aspect" of the game, I don't know. All I can share is my children's reactions and they didn't seem be all that thrilled about the actual game itself. Maybe your child would have a different reaction.
However, as far as quality goes, I feel confident in saying that it just isn't made well enough to hold up to a child's use. Ours started falling apart almost immediately and won't last too much longer before it ends up in the trash. It isn't made very well and just seems to be the kind of game that gets played once, the Bobblehead taken out and then shoved in the back of the game closet. I think there are other Scooby Doo games out there on the market that are a lot more fun and of a lot higher quality than the Scooby-Doo Bobblehead Game.
