Pros:Low Cost, Lightweight, and Great Quality
Cons:Takes a few minutes to heat up
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this laminator for anyone wanting a low cost, nice quality laminator. This would work well for most teachers, scrapbooking, small businesses, and everyday home use.
I had considered buying the Scotch Thermal Laminator at Wal-Mart for several months, until I finally decided to take a chance and spend the $29.95. When I got it home and tried it out I thought "What a Surprise"! It was much better than I expected.
The Scotch Thermal Laminator will laminate pages up to 9 inches wide and up to 5 mil thickness. It has two temperature settings. This machine is so easy to understand, easy to adjust, and easy to use. It is very lightweight with a nice, simple design. You can buy inexpensive laminator pouches, in different sizes. These generally cost about $8-$9 dollars for a pack of 25. What a deal for a machine that does such a professional job. You can laminate regular printer paper, photos, important documents, and even thicker card stock items. I was so impressed with the perfect quality that it produced. I have laminated dozens of items with no imperfections.
The only con that I could find with this laminator is that it does take a few minutes to heat up. This is to be expected. But, once it heats up, it's ready to go!
I would highly recommend this laminator for anyone wanting a low cost, nice quality laminator. This would work well for most teachers, scrapbooking, small businesses, and everyday home use.
