| golferinfr's Full Review: Scotts Peters Professional All Purpose Plant Food |
This last spring I was tilling a garden for one of my long term customers. When I was finished I called her out to make sure everything was done to her satisfaction. As she came out she was carrying this bag of Scotts Peters Professional All Purpose Plant food. She told me my job was excellent as she began to open one bag and proceeded to put it in a spraying hose container. She told me that she likes to feed the soil before putting any plants in. Well to make that story short, she had the best looking garden...next to mine of course.
I went to Lowes and bought me the 3.75 pound plastic pail of this product. Peters All Purpose plant food is great for your flower garden as well for your vegetable garden too. This 20-20-20 fertilizer will accelerate growth, but will also stimulate a root base for each plant that you use it on. It will also feed the soil with micro-nutrients that is also provided in this plant food.
I used it everywhere, even sprayed my lawn with two packets. Each 20 ounce packet will cover 500 feet of lawn or garden. If you want to use this Peters Plant Food separately by watering pail you have two different ways of using this product. For indoor plants you use one teaspoon of this product for every one gallon of water. For outdoor plants it's one tablespoon for every one gallon of water.
This Peters All Purpose Plant Food breaks down into this guaranteed analysis:
Nitrogen @ 20%
Phosphate @ 20%
Potash @ 20%
Magnesium @ 0.50%
Boron @ 0.02%
Copper @ 0.05%
Iron @ 0.10%
Manganese @ 0.05%
Molybdenum @ 0.0005%
Zinc @ 0.05%
I've used Peters Professional All Purpose Plant Food on my Canas Lillies which peaked in October at 9 feet. I used this fertilizer in my vegetable garden to get bigger, more better tasting Bell Peppers. My Tomatoes, Jennifer and I quarted 20 quarts of, and finished out the season by donating the rest.
This fertilizer is also great with annuals, makes them real hearty and big after a few uses. It was a welcome site for my indoor plants as well, my prayer plants and ferns grew ecstatically after about two weeks of spraying and watering them with this stuff.
On a overall, I will say you will be satisfied using this product. Do make sure you water thoroughly. You use this product every 14 days and you'll have the healthiest plants in your neighborhood. This is a Scotts product, an established name in the fertilizing business.
