Pros: WORKS WELL! Thick, lush grass with little effort
Cons: weeds; more costly than other brands
The Bottom Line: you'll need a spreader to use this product adequately. Water the lawn afterwards. Within a month you'll have a lush green lawn! The product is the best on the market.

| mom2ericha's Full Review: Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Fertilizer |
You really can't go wrong if you buy a Scott's product. The turfbuilder works great. We've tried various other types of products on our lawn in past years: Home Depot brand included. They may be cheaper in price but they never seemed to create the same magic that Scott's products do! If you place Scotts Turfbuilder in a spreader and spread it evenly on your grass in early spring, you'll have a lush green grassy lawn by summer. If you have patches of lawn where the grass is thin and sparse, turfbuilder will work wonders for you. Be sure to use another of Scott's products late spring, early summer, adding a herbicide to the lawn, and killing weeds, and dandelions. Scott's also has a 4 stage product out now, that you can buy all at once, and each bag is used at a different time of the season. You could purchase them seperately, but you do save money buying the 4 stage product. Each bag by itself is about $18 but the 4 stage product can be gotten for about $40. The only drawback is REMEMBERING to put the stuff on your grass!
