Pros: A major educational tool. Everyone should be exposed to Scrabble on a regular basis.
Cons: The Upcoming Movie Scrabble will make this a hard to find Christmas toy.

Scrabble is an educational tool for all ages.
It will strengthen your spelling and word
development. It is suggested that you develop
youngsters minds using Scrabble JR. and
work them up to this version. Scrabble
comes in many varied editions, some quite
expensive. However this version will give you
the same game play for just about ten dollars.
Great For Vacations
Don't forget to carry it along with you on
vacations for when your plans are ruined by
adverse weather setting in. I can remember
going to the beach in Fort Walton and many
times when it wasn't raining we could not go
out for fear of over exposure to the sun rays.
Today this is even more an concern. I also
remember that once we got involved in the
game of Scrabble we would soon forgot
about our cravings to return to the beach.
A Dictionary Is Needed
You can't get better family games than
Scrabble and Yathzee for vacation games. Of
course, for educational value Scrabble is the far
better for the due to the educational benefits. If
you play Scrabble you need to be sure to have a
good dictionary available to perform spell checks.

Scrabble has been around since I was a young
boy and it's still going strong. There are
hand held electronic versions, and PC versions
out on the market today as there are with
Yathzee. (see my epinion reviews of it and other
good PC games online. Feel free to visit all

Shortage at Christmas Time for Scrabble
There is a movie to be released that should bring
on a resurgence of interest in the game of
Scrabble which is scheduled to be released this
upcoming October. There is a book of the same
name and both deal with a passion to learn small
and useful words to master the game of Scrabble.
I can't see that the movie would be as good as the
game, but if it proves to be so, you can forget about
finding this on the shelves closer to Christmas time.
It is usually a top seller and the Movie would make
it disappear like free money.
