| eggerling's Full Review: Select Comfort Mattress Sleep Number 5000 |
We received our bed very fast. The set up took me a long time, mostly the foundation and legs. I was excited to sleep on it. I think I was expecting too much. I didn't sleep well on it at all. I changed the numbers every other night, between 40 and 25. I was also still able to feel my husband tossing and turning, as well as getting out of bed. I was constantly waking up in the middle of the night and had a hard time falling back asleep, and I love my sleep. So after only a couple of weeks, I decided it was time to send it back. I can't afford not to have a good nights sleep and I don't think it should take 30 nights to get use to it. After all, if I slept on the couch for 30 nights, sure I would get use to it. So I was told it would cost $80 to send it back by the salesperson, well turns out it is more like $150! Luckily, I did keep all of the boxes. The customer service was fine, so far, but she really wanted me to keep it for the 30 nights, no thanks. If it takes me that long to adjust to it forget it, especially for a bed that costs over $2000. For that much I would expect a bed that when I get into it I feel comfortable right away, not after a month. We brought this bed to replace an older Serta, but we are moving it back into our room and adding a foam topper and a fluffy mattress pad and will continue to look around for something better.
