My husband and I bought the 5000 bed with the pillow top and wireless control about two years ago. For those who don't know, the Select Comfort Sleep Number bed is an inflatable type of mattress with adjustable firmness/softness. It comes with a cover that makes it look like a regular mattress. My husband and I have the type where he can adjust his side independently from my side. His sleep number is "60" and mine is "35." Select Comfort has stores in most malls or you can order beds directly from their web site (www.selectcomfort.com). We bought ours in a mall store. The beds come in all sizes (ours is a queen) and do not require special sheets or bed frames, although the company does sell linens and bed frames. We absolutely love this bed. I have arthritis in my lumber spine and had been waking up at night with pain, and in the morning had to hobble around for a few minutes until I got the stiffness out. Since we've had the Sleep Number bed I have no more back pain! Contrary to what others have said, we don't find the mattress "hot," and Select Comfort's customer service is awesome. We assembled the bed ourselves and found it very easy to put together, but the company will send someone to assemble it for you at an additional cost. Yes, these mattresses are not cheap, but neither is any other top of the line pillow top mattress. Plus, a traditional inner-spring mattress has to be flipped and turned about once a month and should be replaced every 8-10 years. The company often has sales and same-as-cash financing. We got free delivery on ours as well. The downside of the Select Comfort mattress is that it is so comfortable I don't want to get out of it in the morning. We have since purchased two full-size Sleep Number mattresses for our children and they love them as well. My daughter's mattress did leak when we first put it up, but the company shipped us a new one out the same day we called. We received it in two days, packed up the old one and sent it back at no charge. The new one is fine. I cannot imagine ever buying any other type of mattress and miss it a lot when I travel.
