Not worth the money AT ALL!

Pros: The sheets are super comfortable and soft.
The mattress protector cover seems reliable.
Cons: Too expensive.
Does not work properly.
Customer service is unreliable.
Not easy to operate or understand.
The Bottom Line: I would never recommend this bed or this company to anyone.

We were interested in the Sleep Number beds because I am pregnant with our second child and am having a hard time with back problems. We were told that this bed would absolutely solve my back problems within a week. Well...I didn't really expect that, nor did it happen. In fact my back is now the exact same as it was before the bed.
The Sleep Number 5000 cost us over $2000 and we're not sure why. We have had it for about two weeks (but are not allowed to return it yet...?) and this bed is a right piece of junk. It adjusts in the middle of the night, without being touched at all. If you set it at 30, it goes down to 5, or back up to 90 without touching the remote at all.
When my husband leaves for work in the morning, naturally, I roll over and take over the entire bed, or did, but that is a distant memory with this bed as well. In this bed, you are basically trapped on one side or the other, but the middle is basically out of bounds because it feels like there is a block of wood under there.
When the store manager called me to ask why we were returning the bed, this person basically said that she had never heard of these problems before, that nobody had ever complained about the bed inflating or deflating on its own. Then proceeded to tell me that their beds deflate over night if the temperature in the store fluctuates?
Perhaps I don't have the patience for fairy tales, but I want a good nights sleep. We can't wait to send this bed back and get a different one.
