Poor Customer Service, Product and Warranty

Pros: When it works, it is quite comfortable (a conventional mattress is also quite comfortable).
Cons: Poor quality, misleading warranty, poor customer service.
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this mattress. There are problems that require additional cost throughout the life of the mattress. Stick with conventional mattresses.

We purchased our queen size select comfort sleep number mattress as an expensive option in our brand new motorhome and have not been happy with the mattress or the customer service. We are on our third issue and have not been able to get an acceptable answer. This time, the digital readout on one of the controllers has gone out and they are requiring us to buy the entire pump assembly in order to replace one controller. I spoke to a customer service person by the name of Dee this morning and her response to me was, "whatever". I guess they need to train their customer service representatives a little better also. They company seems to be poorly run. They are much more interested in promoting their mattress than they are in keeping those who already own them satisfied. I'm sure, in time, that will come back to bite them, as they say. There warranty is also misleading because they state that they have a twenty year warranty but it is really only a two year warranty. Beyond two years, there is a cost, and in our case, a high cost. We are very unhappy with our mattress and would highly recommend a conventional mattress to potential select comfort sleep number mattress customers. There are no expenses beyond the initial purchase price with a conventional mattress. With a sleep number mattress, you can expect to continue to put money into it throughout the life of the mattress.
