I bought the Queen-sized 6000 in September of 2008.  For about one and a half years it was great; everything I expected for my $3,000. After that, I thought I was feeling a dip or "hole" in the center but wasn't sure and didn't connect it to the tremendous low back pain I began experiencing in May of 2010.  I saw three doctors and had X-rays and an MRI to find out why I could barely stand up some days.  The tests showed nothing, indicating a soft tissue injury.  Everyone, including the doctors, asked if it was my bed.  I kept saying it couldn't possibly be because I had a 2-year-old Sleep Number bed and don't they swear on their commercials that it lasts TWICE as long as a traditional mattress?  Don't they also sell it as being warrantied for 20 years?  Well, eventually I had friends and family come to try it and they all fell into the same dip immediately upon getting into the bed.  We took it apart and reassembled to make sure everything was in good order.  All LOOKED fine, but FEELS like torture.  I haven't slept through a night or woke up pain free in seven months now and I cannot afford another bed, nor should I have to buy one.  Also, the right side of the bed loses air constantly, but the company doesn't recognize either of these as defects or their problem. In fact, they seem to think its a defect in the customer, as I was told I'm probably not inflating the chambers properly.  And all along I thought I'd mastered the art of pushing a button!
