| eagleargy's Full Review: Select Comfort Mattress Sleep Number 7000 |
After 13 years with our Sealy, my wife and I went looking for a new mattress. She suffers from minor back pain so we knew we had to find a good supportive mattress. Prices for a quality spring mattress averaged around $1400 to $1500. We also checked out the temperpedic. We did some research on the temperpedic and found 2 big complaints, 1) the mattress broke down after about 3 years and 2) mattress was extremely hot. So we found ourselves researching the Sleep Number Bed. After researching thoroughly we went to the local mall to see and try one. There was no pressure from the salesman at all. We took our time, almost 2 hours, trying various settings, positions etc. Well we were sold. We Paid the extra money to have it set up and they took our old mattress and box spring. Installers were well informed and courteous. There is a 30 day trial but we only needed 3 days. My wife's back was free of pain and the the stiffness she suffered every morning was gone. I personally feel more refreshed every morning and I do not wake up that often in the middle of the night anymore. I am not a lightweight, about 240 pounds and the bed gives me great support. It is so comfortable, you do not want to get out of bed in the morning. You cannot even feel the middle foam strip. My wife has even commented that there is less dust in the bedroom. I wish they had this mattress 30 years ago.
