It's either that or my old mattress was that bad! : )
My husband and I can never agree on a bed. I have tried the Select Comfort in the store before, on my own, and liked it.
We went together and decided on the Select Comfort 7000 Eastern King (yes, we graduated from a Queen!). We paid for the set-up ($99.95) and the delivery arrived right on time. It took about 20 minutes for them to set it up and off they went.
I did notice the "rubber" smell for the first hour. After that, the smell dissipated.
After the first night, I loved the bed (especially the mattress pad that Select Comfort sold me). My husband kept feeling like he was falling off the side of the bed. So, we opened up the bed and pushed everything towards his side. After that, his side was fine.
It has been two weeks and I still love the bed. I noticed that on the first night, I didn't toss and turn like I usually do. Once I went to sleep, I stayed in that spot.
Do note that the air mattress does fluctuate based on the temperature in the room, especially the first few days. I set it at 55 and woke up at 15! We were warned by the salesman that the setting would fluctuate due to change of temperature in the room, but it seems to have settled down now.
After reading these reviews, I was very apprehensive about purchasing this bed (especially at $3600, when you add in the mattress pad, legs, delivery and tax), so much so that I had the delivery men leave the cardboard boxes, in case I had to return the bed. Well, the cardboard is gone and we love this bed!
